About this site

How to Adult: Study. Work. Life. Decoded. is an independent platform created to help young people navigate the messy, unfiltered reality of becoming an adult — whether you’re still in high school, starting uni, job-hunting, or figuring out life post-grad.

This isn’t just advice from the top down. It’s a growing library of real-life stories, practical tools, and honest conversations shared by students, recent grads, and thoughtful contributors who’ve been there too.

We cover everything from:

  • 📚 Study hacks and choosing the right uni path
  • 💼 First resumes, interviews, and job applications
  • 💸 Budgeting, Centrelink, tax, and managing your own money
  • 🧠 Mental health, identity, relationships, and confidence
  • 🧺 Daily adulting — like doing your laundry or enrolling to vote

What's Coming (and What’s Already Here):

We're building a resource hub that’s more than just blog posts. Expect:

  • ✅ Downloadable cheat sheets and checklists
  • 🎙️ Short-form podcasts
  • 🧾 Printable PDFs for things like resume templates and weekly planners
  • 🖥️ Online workshops and webinars
  • 👥 Author profiles and themed reading tracks
  • 🧭 Interactive tools to help you figure things out at your own pace

Some content will always be free. Other premium tools may be part of a paid tier later down the line — to keep this sustainable and growing. There may also be occasional affiliate links or ads, but only ones that are relevant and respectful of your time.

You’re Not Doing It Alone

Adulthood can feel like a solo mission, but it doesn’t have to be. This platform is also a space to connect with others going through similar transitions — people who are studying, job-searching, overthinking, and figuring things out just like you.

Whether you’re here to learn, reflect, or share your story — welcome.
